Coolidge Corner Celebrates!
On July 21st, 2007, Coolidge Corner joins the worldwide celebration of all things magical on the eve of the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows".
Join us when the countdown begins in Coolidge Corner, Friday July 20th, as the Brookline Teen Center Fund, in partnership with the Coolidge Corner Merchants' Association proudly presents Potterpalooza 2007. The event is an indoor/outdoor street festival celebrating all things Potter. This family-friendly after-dark fete will feature activities, performances, entertainment and contests. There is something for every taste.
Don't miss a minute of fun! Come dressed in robes and pointy hats, or come incognito in jeans and t-shirts. Events will include tattoos, balloon art, a digital photo studio, a scavenger hunt, a look-alike contest, cupcake decorating, and many more family-friendly surprises. Admission is free, so stop by the Coolidge Corner Arcade building at the intersection of Harvard Street and Babcock Street to pick up a map, which will serve as your guide for the evening.
Many area shops and restaurants will be staying open late, selling licensed Harry Potter merchandise and serving magical menu items. Dance the night away at our Wizard's Ball, located inside the Coolidge Corner Arcade. Bring the whole family and enjoy Coolidge Corner for the evening.
The excitement leads up to the stroke of midnight, when long awaited copies of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" become available at Coolidge Corner's source for Harry Potter books, Brookline Booksmith.
It will be a memorable night celebrating wizardry in Coolidge Corner.
Warner Bros. Entertainment and J.K. Rowling are not responsible for this event, but, subject to conditions, they have kindly granted us permission to use the HARRY POTTER® trade mark and other materials.
